Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 Tbsp (24g) light brown sugar
- 1 tsp (6g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup (40g) all purpose flour
- ⅛ tsp baking soda
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp (20g) semi sweet chocolate chips
- Semi-sweet chocolate chunks, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 5 inch cast iron skillet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. The dough should be softer and stickier than you're comfortable with!
- Fold in the chocolate chips, then transfer the dough to the prepared skillet and spread it evenly. Press a few chocolate chunks into the top for decoration.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly soft.
- Allow to cool briefly, then enjoy warm!
